Rodney Eichenberger

Rodney Eichenberger

Rodney Eichenberger has lectured and guest conducted throughout the United States and abroad. He has conducted more than 70 All State Choirs in 43 of the 50 states and guest conducted or lectured at more then 60 U.S. Universities. Choirs under his direction have sung at ACDA and MENC National Conference and at the International Society for Music Education. His instructional video on Choral Conducting, “What They See is What You Get” is in it’s 9th printing. Professor Eichenberger holds a Bachelor of Arts from St. Olaf College and a Master of Arts from the University of Denver. He has served as Professor of Choral Music at The University of Washington-Seattle, the University of Southern California and currently at Florida State University in Tallahassee.

 

Patrick K. Freer

Patrick K. Freer

Patrick K. Freer is the associate professor of choral music education at Georgia State University in Atlanta. Dr. Freer is a frequent guest conductor at all-state choruses and has made over 70 presentations at regional, national, and international conferences. He has guest conducted or presented in 28 states, Canada, Germany and Japan, and made his Carnegie Hall conducting debut in April 2009. Dr. Freer is the author of the critically acclaimed DVD series, “Success for Adolescent Singers.” His articles on the adolescent voice and middle school chorus have been published in the Choral Journal, Music Educators Journal, International Journal of Music Education, and many others. Dr. Freer holds degrees from Westminster Choir College and Teachers College- Columbia University. Beginning in September 2009 he will serve as a Visiting Scholar at James Madison University.

Karen Kennedy

Karen Kennedy

Karen Kennedy is currently the director of choirs at Towson University in Towson, MD. Before joining the faculty at Towson she held the positions of Chorus Director of the Honolulu Symphony, Artistic Director for the Hawai’i International Choral Festival, and Director of Choral Activities at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa. Dr. Kennedy is a frequent guest presenter on choral repertoire, conducting and pedagogy at ACDA and MENC state and regional conventions. She received her DMA in choral music from Arizona State University, her MM in choral conducting from Butler University an her Bachelors of Music Education from DePauw University. She currently serves as ACDA Eastern Division Collegiate Repertoire & Standards Chair and is past-President of the Hawai'i chapter of ACDA.
